Feature rimosse in Windows 7 e Windows Server 2008 R2

Con Windows 7 e Windows Server 2008 R2 alcune feature sono state eliminate rispetto alle versioni precedenti, queste feature sono:

• All SKUs for Windows Server 2008 R2 are 64-bit
• In-place OLE activiation
• Removable Storage Manager
• Microsoft Message Queuing
• Windows Movie Maker
• SMB communication
• Windows NT 4.0 domain join is not supported with Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2
• Outlook Express and Windows Mail
• Shared folders in Windows Explorer
• Active Directory Installation Wizard Single-Label Domain Names
• Net print command
• ServerManagerCMD.exe
• Windows Contacts API
• Indexing Service
• Meeting Space
• Classic Start Menu
• Quick Launch Toolbar
• Remote Desktop Connection Client 7.0 does not support accessing Windows 2000 servers
• Windows Web Server 2008 R2 does not support remote print management through the Print Management Console
• Using scanners in Windows Server 2008 R2 with TWAIN drivers might require the installation of Desktop Experience Pack
• Updating DNS Resource Records
